L'Assistence Maternelle

Founded in 1912 by Caroline Hamilton, l’Assistance maternelle brings help and support to pregnant women in financial need by providing them with a parcel containing basic items needed for the care of their new baby. The items in the parcel include pajamas, camisoles, hats, slippers, sheets, bottles, towels, hygienic products, and much more. The organization has been providing dozens of mothers in need with this type of support since it has opened its doors. It is estimated that 1200 to 1500 parcels are donated each year to women consulted by the CLSC, social workers, doctors and organizations welcoming newly landed immigrants. l’Assistance maternelle is the only non-profitable organization at the aid of newborn babies and has been selflessly giving since 1912.
