The advent of technology and fast food has put us on the fast track to a sedentary lifestyle and has increased our risk of developing Metabolic Syndrome (Syndrome X).  Metabolic Syndrome is described as having a combination of high blood pressure, high blood sugar levels, excess body weight, low levels of HDL cholesterol and high triglyceride levels which increases your chances of developing diabetes, heart disease and stroke.  With the services of a wellness coach you will learn how to improve lifestyle choices and habits that will ultimately lead to a healthier, fitter and balanced you.  This 4 week program will prepare you to make better day-to-day lifestyle choices in the home, kitchen, grocery store, workplace and restaurants.  With this service you will receive personal training, wellness strategy guides and nutritional planning. It even includes a grocery list for added convenience!

- Athletic Therapy

Athletic therapy is a profession that is devoted to the health care of the active individual who has sustained or is at an increased risk of sustaining a sport-related injury.  Athletic therapists help prevent injury by addressing muscular imbalances or weaknesses, and by improving sport biomechanics.  Their scope of practice also includes injury rehabilitation and sport event coverage.  Athletic Therapists must be certified through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and are qualified to use the CAT(C) title. They must also be a Sports First Responder.
